IAN TOMLINSON (ongoing)
The death of Ian Tomlinson in the G20 Protests was widely reported. Tuckers is representing Ian’s family in relation to the police complaint IPCC investigation and the inquest.
HM TREASURY v MOHAMMED JABAR AHMED & ORS : HM TREASURY v MOHAMMED AL-GHABRA : R (on the application of HANI EL SAYED SABAEI YOUSSEF) v HM TREASURY [2010] UKSC 2
Tuckers represented Mohammed al-Ghabra in what was the first case to be heard in the new Supreme Court, in October 2009. The case is reported to have been specifically chosen because it raised important constitutional issues that are set to define the output of the UKSC. The Supreme Court found that the Terrorism (United Nations Measures) Order 2006 and the Al-Qaida and Taliban (United Nations Measures) Order 2006 art.3(1)(b) were unlawful.
